Poker ace Phil Hellmuth will host an upcoming charity poker tournament in December, in what is set to be a huge poker fundraising event.

The Playin' The Hand tournament will take place in conjunction with the Taser Foundation For Fallen Officers, a charity organization which helps support the families of policemen who have been killed in injured in the line of duty.

A series of poker competitions will be staged throughout the event including a $200 buy-in tournament and a $1,000 High Roller tournament.

Poker champion Phil Hellmuth will be the master of ceremonies on the day, keeping fans and players abreast of the action.

"Since 9/11, the work of the Taser Foundation has touched my heart," states Hellmuth, commenting on his ongoing charity work through poker.
